Mermaid Spa

Mermaid Spa is a Russian bathhouse and restaurant in the Seagate neighborhood of South Brooklyn. A lodge-like wooden hall holds three Russian steam rooms, a dry sauna, a Turkish bath, two ice-water pools, a Jacuzzi and tiled pools, with a backyard, a big hall and a party room alongside the restaurant. Platza, a whole-body massage with a birch venik, can be booked, and massages are provided by an independent contractor. Admission, optional services and membership packages are priced separately, and the spa is open until 11:00 PM. Visits are reserved online or by phone at 347-462-2166. Gift certificates are sold as paper copies at the reception desk and apply to the entrance fee and restaurant but not to massage.
